Autism – A Path to Healing
This book discusses the causal factors contributing to the enormous increase in the incidence of autism over the last 25 years. Taking into account the great quantity of scientific research which has demonstrated that disorders on the autistic spectrum are mainly caused by environmental factors, Dr. Blomberg puts together an in-depth scientific argument supporting his claims. Among these contributing factors are heavy metals, vaccinations, and electromagnetic radiation from cordless technology.
Scientific studies confirm that autism is not an inherited genetic disorder but rather a disease caused by environmental factors which trigger inflammation in the gut and the brain and are responsible for the symptoms of the disease. The author describes what steps can be taken to support the child’s healing process. A prerequisite for such healing is to get the inflammatory process of the gut and the brain under control. This can be achieved utilizing a proper diet, cleansing from heavy metals, eliminating electromagnetic radiation and giving food supplements and more. Since each child reacts differently to the environmental causes these steps must be individualized.
The inflammation causes damage of different parts of the brain. More specifically the cerebellum, the limbic system and the neocortex are affected, causing the lack of response to other people, or overreaction to stimuli, as well as deficits in speech development, among the other symptoms of ASD. When the brain inflammation is under control, the damaged areas can be stimulated by Rhythmic Movement Training, a method based on the spontaneous, innate rhythmic movement patterns of the infant described in the book. Utilizing Rhythmic Movement Training, the child’s cognitive functions, motor abilities, speech and emotional responses will improve.
The book addresses parents with children on the autistic spectrum who are searching for alternative ways to help their children other than those offered by scientific medicine. It also addresses parents of children with ADHD, ADD, learning, speech or motor skills difficulties, and epilepsy. Much of the information of the book is relevant for children with such problems in regards to the environmental causes of their condition and the possibilities of healing.

Many children suffer from challenges with attention and hyperactivity, ADHD. Drugs used to treat ADHD, such as Ritalin, are strongly addictive. They may have an immediate calming effect, but also come with severe side effects and lack of positive outcomes in the long run.
In The Rhythmic Movement Method, author Harald Blomberg, MD explains why rhythmic movement is more useful than drugs in treating ADHD and many other disorders. Based on the spontaneous rhythmic movements of infants, these actions are necessary for the development on the brain, motor abilities, emotions, and mental faculties. Dr. Blomberg introduces his method - Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (BRMT) - and describes how simple healing exercises stimulate the ability of the brain and the nervous system to renew itself and create new connections. blomberg shares how these exercises help people develop and mature or heal physically, emotionally, and cognitively.
With case studies and many of the movements included, The Rhythmic Movement Method helps child with ADHD, and adults suffering from depression , anxiety, psychosis, Parkinson's and other disorders to feel well, function better, and stop taking medications.
